1. Manage and deliver MTBNZ’s event portfolio to a consistently high quality level during the 2010 summer. Further consolidate this event portfolio as the premier competitive events package in NZ.
2. Ramp up management and delivery of the MTBNZ Athlete Development Pathway
3. Manage athlete and coach development opportunities to optimise development potential with a performance focus
4. Support Elite athletes and Development athletes alike with a performance focus, and appropriate coaching support including our Prime Minister’s Scholarship Coaches and the MTB coaches network
5. Manage planning processes and delivery of the 2010 World Champs campaign, building on MTBNZ’s successful 2009 campaign. Continue domination of the Junior Downhill category; support Elite Downhill athletes to podium success; continue progress with Elite, U23 and U19 cross country athletes to deliver podium challenging performances. What sort of biking do you like watching? It is always a thrill and inspiring to see talented riders competing, such as at events like the World Championships or showcase mtb events. It is equally inspiring to see wee tots and their families scooting around easy trails on their bikes with big grins.

What things are you aiming do with MTBNZ in 2009/2010? I am helping to organise the RaboPlus NZ MTB Cup events for Downhill and Cross Country for Dunedin on 16/17 January 2010 and the UCI Oceania Mountainbike Championships in Dunedin for March 18-21st 2010. I am actively involved in the Mountainbiking Otago Committee and chair the meetings for the Downhill committee. My family are all involved in mountainbiking. Justin represents NZ overseas in Downhill events and my wife is a Mountainbike Commissaire at National events.
In what city do you live?Dunedin . My family own a bike shop called Bike Otago in Great King Street, Dunedin. We opened up in February 2009 moving from Blenheim where I was the chairman of Mountainbiking Marlborough Mountainbike Club.
